It has been an exciting few weeks at Ava Design.
For starters, we have received our very first Etsy order for one of our Swarovski based pieces, The Major Mitchell’s Cockatoo Pearl Necklace. We have also been doing extremely well at our current exhibition at Norden Farm Art centre. Oh, and we embarked on our first wedding commission order for bespoke earrings for bridesmaids favours! But wait a minute – there’s more! In addition to all of this, I am also incredibly proud to announce that we just been accepted to exhibit at the Portobello Rocks! pop up market within the world famous Portobello Green market in Ladbroke Grove this October 26th!!
Portobello Rocks! is going to be the first outdoor market that Ava Design has ever exhibited in, so you can imagine that I am getting very anxious about how to curate it. With a metal box frame structure and a table, it really does open up all sorts of exciting ways to exhibit! After ordering a birdcage to use as an earrings holder, mammoth lengths of hessian to create three “walls” using the metal frame, and waiting for my rather large shipment of Japanese Chiyogami Origami paper to arrive in order to make my strings of paper cranes, I have started to sketch design ideas for the stall. Below is an outline of what I hope the final product will look like! Fingers crossed!
And keep the date free – Saturday October 26th – I hope to see you down there!
